Times Herald Record: Former Marine Has Inspirational Story
MIDDLETOWN – Marine Sgt. John Peck survived two improvised explosive devices while fighting the war on terror.
The first explosion, in Iraq in 2007, left him with amnesia and a brain injury.
The second, in Afghanistan three years later, led to his becoming a quadruple amputee.
But he fought his way back, and in 2016 Peck received a double arm transplant that so far has been successful. He’s now able to do things like sign copies of “Rebuilding Sergeant Peck,” the book that tells his amazing story.
