Ralph "Carder" Ferguson
Ralph Carder Ferguson enlisted in June 1985 and went on to serve almost 21 years in the U.S. Army and the Arkansas National Guard.
During the Global War On Terror, Sergeant Ferguson served two combat tours of duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, and received numerous awards for his service. On May 5, 2004 Ferguson came under mortar fire, resulting in his injuries.
After leaving military service, Carder Ferguson continued to support his fellow veterans, taking leadership positions in numerous veterans organizations, including local, state and national officer roles with the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Carder Ferguson also works with fellow veterans as a Volunteer Service Representative at the Fayetteville VA Hospital.
