NEW TRIBUTE VIDEO PREMIERES SALUTING AMERICA’S COMBAT WOUNDED AND KILLED IN ACTION

 

WHAT: As part of the nationwide celebration of National Purple Heart Day, the National Purple Heart Honor Mission will premiere a special tribute video featuring prominent military leaders, Purple Heart recipients and prominent Americans paying tribute to the brave men and women of America’s Armed Forces who have been wounded or killed defending our nation.

More than 1.8 million American service members have been awarded the Purple Heart, for either having been wounded or killed-in-action. This national tribute video will provide viewers with the history of the Purple Heart, moving stories of Purple Heart recipients and special messages from former military leaders like Generals Jack Keane and Wesley Clark, former National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster, and prominent Americans like Congressman Brian Mast, himself a Purple Heart recipient.

The program also includes information about the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor, located in New York, and the United States Mint’s ongoing 2022 National Purple Heart Hall of Honor Commemorative Coins series.
