The Register Citizen: Harwinton veteran honored by National Purple Heart Honor Mission
Army Staff Sgt. Robert Sodergren, a Harwinton local, was named the Purple Heart Patriot Project’s Connecticut representative and is being honored by the National Purple Heart Hall of Honor at West Point.
“We received hundreds of nominations from across the country and we look forward to honoring Robert for his lifelong sacrifice, and service to his community,” said retired Col. Russ Vernon, executive director for the National Purple Heart Honor Mission.
